Introducing the Management Team: 

Non-Executive Chairman - Colin Buchan was appointed our Non-Executive Chairman in March 2011. Colin was chairman of Standard Life Investments Limited, a director of RBS plc and a director of Standard Life plc and is a director of Black Rock World Mining Trust plc. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Scotland. Until his retirement in 2001, Mr. Buchan was a member of the group management board of UBS AG as well as head of equities of UBS Warburg. He is also the former chairman of UBS Securities Canada Inc.
Chief Executive Officer - Cris Stephenson Cris joined the business in Sept 2014 and his background is logistics. After attending Durham University studying Philosophy he started work as a HGV 1 driver and after joining TNT worked his way up to divisional Managing Director. Having now worked across all aspects of the supply chain with multi-national companies such as the TNT Group, HDNL and Pall-Ex he also worked within the manufacturing sector with SME’s such as CPL and Autosparks. At the same time pursuing a motorcycle racing passion riding at European Championship level until recently. 
Chief Financial Officer - Jon Parsons joined environcom in 2011 as the new CFO from DHL Supply Chain where he was Finance Director for the Marks and Spencer division. Jon has a BA Honours degree in Economics from Coventry University and has gained formal CIMA qualifications. He has ten years industry experience in a number of accounting and commercial roles in Logistics and supply chain. He has enjoyed working on contracts on behalf of a number of retail and non-retail customers developing and supporting changes to supply chain.
Co-founder and General Partner of Aloe Private Equity - Dr Vivek Tandon is an experienced international entrepreneur with an extensive background in building technology start-up companies. During his career Vivek co-founded a number of technology companies and has held several senior executive management positions including Managing Director (UK) of Viventures (a USD$700m Venture Capital Fund), CIENA, Kymata, British Telecommunications PLC and Motorola.
Operations Director - Carl Sylvester Carl joined Environcom on 1st April 2015 as Group Transport Manager after a career in Transport and Logistics Management for 16 years, starting off as a Warehouse Operative and gaining knowledge as an HGV1 Driver to 11 years at management level.  Carl was given the opportunity to take on the General Manager role looking after everything to do with the whole site in Grantham.  He is responsible for Recycling, Reuse and Engineering and has now been promoted to Operations Director across all three sites.
Engineering Director - Bill Crosby After a career in transport and operations spanning 40 years, Bill joined Environcom in 2012 as Transport Manager. He then took on the recycling side of the Grantham operation in November 2012. In March 2013, Bill was appointed General Manager (Grantham) Responsible for Recycling, Reuse, Engineering and Transport. In November 2015, he was appointed Group Recycling Manager and became responsible for recycling operations and Transport on all sites.
Head of Customer Service - Alison Powell Alison joined Environcom in December 2013 as Commercial Manager for West Midlands and was promoted to Head of Customer Service for the Group in September 2014. Previous posts included Business Development and Marketing Manager at Overton Recycling, Lawrence Recycling & Waste Management and Head of Commercial Services for the Heart of England Regional Tourist Board. Alison’s background has been focused on driving growth and skills for businesses’ and managing public/private sector partnerships. Her skill set has proved useful moving into the recycling sector working with corporates, local authorities and major retailers. Alison’s current role see her lead the Customer Service Team in providing a first class service to Environcom customers’ and securing commercial contracts that don’t cost the earth.
Commercial Manager - Richard Shaw Richard Joined Environcom in November 2014 as Commercial Manager. Prior to joining Environcom, Richard had 30 years with the SIMS Group (and a SIMS acquired business). Varying roles comprising operational responsibilities running fragmentiser operations, export facilities and Group Commercial Manager role. Involved with WEEE Directive work from the introduction of the legislation. Current role + responsibilities comprise the supplying of the Environcom processing sites with the basic WEEE grades, negotiation of relevant contracts – and the Group sales of all recyclates.
Finance Manager & Recycling Management Accountant - Rachel Hastings Rachel was appointed at Environcom in October 2011 as an Accounts Assistant within the finance team in Grantham. Rachel’s previous experience prior to joining Environcom is 3 years in an audit and accountancy firm in Spalding primarily completing company’s year end accounts, management accounts, tax returns and audits. Then 3 years at a school uniform company in Peterborough managing their accounts function & balance sheet activities and management accounts as well as preparing year end accounts. Rachel’s current role at Environcom is Finance Manager & Recycling Management Accountant. She is responsible for managing the finance team, weekly & monthly management accounts for the recycling divisions and analysis for the senior team as required.
Group Sales Manager - Peter Griffiths Peter is Environcom’s Group Sales Manager. Peter has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the commercial transport and logistics arena gained over the past 25 years. His past senior positions were held within global brand companies, such as TNT, Kuehne & Nagel and Clipper Logistics. Peter completely understands the critical importance of “delivering on our promise” as this platform has served him well throughout his career to-date. Peter is wholly responsible for all group sales, business development and (importantly) business retention – which is key to our ongoing success.
